Canon 350D/ 400D DC Power Converter -

There's nothing more annoying than going back to your camera and finding that it hasn't taken the shots it was set to take and scrabbling around on the floor trying to review and count a series of shots to work out how many you have to take to get the required number. Unless you take the camera out of the scope, then there's refocussing and aligning... So you change the battery and start the set again and check it more regularly to make sure it hasn't run down your spare yet and hoping the original will charge before it does.

Does this sound familiar? I got so fed up I developed an alternative. I can now power my 350D from either a power station for dark site visits or using my Bench power supply at home.

The 'battery' end is made from a generic battery - all inner components are recycled - there may well be some marks on the case made during disassembly, though all units are tested for fit and function. This is fitted with a regulator to supply the correct voltage. A cable is connected, positioned to come through the small rubber capped hole on the lip of the camera's battery compartment and this connects to an inline 2.1mm DC socket. The battery is re-sealed and can now be used with a Power Station, a car or leisure battery or a bench power supply. Any supply that gives between 12v and 15v at 1.25A to a 2.1mm DC centre positive connector will be sufficient to power your camera.
